ReVia is a medication used in alcohol and drug dependence treatment. It blocks such effects of opioids as pain relief or feelings of being “high” that have been known to lead to opioid abuse. ReVia is often used in combination treatment in patients with drug and alcohol dependence. TakingReVia significantly reduces the urge to drink or take an opioid drug in patients with addiction. However, ReVia must not be used in patients with current alcohol or opioid withdrawal symptoms, who used any opioid substance in the last 10 days or used methadone or buprenorphine in the last 14 days.
How to use ReVia?
Follow your GP’s orders and your personal prescription. The dosage may be changed within the cause of treatment. Do not alter the dosage without medical advice.
Take ReVia at mealtimes if it causes stomach ache or discomfort.
In some cases, ReVia is to be administered to the patient by a relative or a career to make sure that medication is used correctly.
ReVia tablets should be swallowed with plenty of water. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but if it is time for the next dose, avoid taking a double dose at once.
Use ReVia regularly and follow the treatment instructions very closely to get the best treatment results.
Ask your medical advisor before combining ReVia with any medication including medicines for flu, cold or pain treatment as it may interact with other medications including herbal supplements and vitamins.
ReVia should be kept at room temperature.
ReVia side effects
As with any medication, ReVia may cause allergic reactions and other side effects due to personal sensitivity to medication compounds.
Potential side effects may include digestive symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), anxiety or depression, mood changes, or psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations, or liver conditions such as jaundice, change of color in urine, or/and stool, etc.
